The second version of this prop came about when I was prepping for Awesome Con 2015. I liked my original version, but it wasn't accurate to the concept art. I redid the model to include the base and orbs on the side. In this version, I also used an epoxy coating, instead of just sanding the finished print. This makes for a much smoother print. Alclad II chrome was used for the metallic coloring. 10 feet of manilla rope is glued into the base. Before finishing up, I made a mold of the original to make quick reproductions. Due to the simple shape, I was able to make it a single part mold. This is great, since I can use it for overflow of other castings.
