Captain America Shield: Painting

I'm making some progress on painting my Captain America Shield. I've got the blue ring all squared away, with three coats of Testor's Transparent Blue and 4 coats of Krylon Satin finisher. I took the masking tape off and cleaned up all the excess blue and trimmed half of the ring groove between the blue and red rings. After a long session of re-masking, I painted a first coat of red. I think I messed it up, but I'm going to try to wet sand down the imperfections instead of acetone wiping the whole thing.
