My next project is the gel launcher from the Batman: Arkham Asylum series of games. I was able to rip the model from the game, but it needed a lot of work before it was print ready. I decided to print it in halves and pieces. It needed a lot of sanding, and honestly, it needed much much more to be a professional product. If I reproduce this, I will probably cast it using the printed model and sand down a resin version instead as PLA doesn't exactly sand well. The majority is painted in Alclad II stainless steel, and finished with some black gloss that I thinned heavily. It gives a nice brushed metal look. The gel capsule is the bottle that the paint came in, and filled with a water/glycerine mix colored with a little too much green food dye.
